I've always appreciated Phil's (and Derek's) insights into rookie cards/first collectibles. Especially for pre-war, it's complicated because the dates of many issues can be unclear. There have been great discussions over the years about particular players although it seems to be of less interest in more recent years. People should definitely check out Derek's website, even on post-war there are items you just aren't likely to find as I've learned.

Hi Derek - Unfortunately, the ice cream collectibles didn’t make the move to FL with us. We hired a moving company and they charged per square foot in the truck and there just wasn’t enough value with that stuff to justify paying for it so I unloaded it all at a flea market shortly before we moved.

Your site looks awesome! Keep up the great work on that front.
