Funny that you mentioned painted figures. Did you know that the Tastee-Freez figures were meant to be painted by kids as part of a contest? I’ve actually tried to contact the latest TF corporate version and haven’t been able to get a list of contest winners from them or any pics.

Loved TF! I don't think mine are those, either, doubt if they were painted by kids, and the base looks different. Possible, though. I would call you quite the optimist for thinking they would have those records going back at least 60 years, but who knows? They might still have some of the figures in the back of shelves in a old warehouse somewhere!

I can only think of Transogram, but I am sure you ruled that out. I would love to see a picture Hank, they sound cool.

I love to see new stuff, I have not seen the Post premium players before.

polakoff's seven "non-Gould" player-figures are from Baseball Players, "unbreakable" set No. 110
made by Lido Plastics probably in the 1960s.

Hank's player-figures are an unnamed set made by Ajax Plastics in the late 1940s or 1950s.

I love the little Ajax Plastics set... the figure 3rd from the left looks just like a mini version of the Spalding Baseman Trophy.
