Lucas, that is a very nice 1924 photo of Senators players with their kids. GLWS.

Many years ago, I got the understanding (I can't remember from whom or where) that there were 30 photos similar to yours (in size and with the same back stamping) issued by National Photo of Washington, DC, in this "set" that Rhys refers to. But, I don't think your photo was included in this "set," and here is why I say this:

- I have 29 of these photos, which I got in a Legendary auction back in 2011, but your photo is not 1 of the 29.

- My "set" is missing the photo of Ossie Bluege, which I have seen and would very much like to acquire.

- 28 of these 30 photos appear in the Washington version of the 1924 WS program (also published by National Photo), which is not much more than a collection of pictures of the players and team officials with scorecards for the Senators and Giants on the inside front and back covers, respectively. There are no narratives about the players, no player statistics, etc. in this WS program. The 2 photos that don't appear in the 1924 WS program are, (1) a third photo of player-manager Bucky Harris, and (2) a photo of Wid Matthews who was reacquired from Sacramento (PCL) on Sept. 29, 1924, but was not included on the WS roster.

- Your photo is not included in the 1924 WS program.

Hope this info is helpful. Below is the photo of Earl McNeely, who knocked in the winning run in the 12th inning of Game 7, that is in this 30-photo "set."

Thank you Val, you are a wealth of knowledge.

This now confuses me even more! 😆. The same photo dimensions and stamp on the back, but not in the set. Very mysterious indeed.

ValKehl, in your opinion, does it not being in the WS program make it more or less desirable to the masses? I think it’s amazing either way!

Good question. I'm thinking this photo was likely produced in lesser quantity than the photos in the 30-photo set. Hence, this photo could be more valuable. On the other hand, I think individual player photos tend to be more valuable than group photos.
