Thank you for such an interesting post, Don.
My one contribution to this thread is Christy Mathewson's gravesite at the cemetery hard by Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. I visited in 2012 at the conclusion of the Baltimore National. There are markers for Matty, his wife Jane Staughton and their son Christy Jr. The third image is their eternal "view". It couldn't be lovelier.
