I have never noticed it before, but when looking for a scan of a mesmerizing card to add to this thread, I came across this Diamond Stars card of Ray Hayworth. Ray is doing his best to keep us from noticing that umpire/player discussion in the background.

Ray Hayworth was such a nice man. The last living Tiger teammate of Ty Cobb, I believe. What's remarkable about Ray's relationship with Cobb is that it was a positive one! Cobb was always nice to him, which goes against what we've been taught about Ty, especially in how it pertained to rookies!

Since the day I got it, and my first card in my new collection....Now shown 2.1 million times. It still has that mesmerizing quality to me.
