Perhaps it may be better to recreate the the b&w set with alternate color photos rather than recoloring them. There have been some nostalgia-type 53 Bowman card sets that look fairly good and a version was created for one of the National Convention. (I am not counting the TCMA color set, they look ghastly.) Start with #161 and make sure to make some alteration to the reverse side as to indicate they are not authentic 53 Bowman Color cards. The sample and prototype cards could be reproduced as well as part of the extension.

Gus & Willie. Willie lost more games than he won but was known as "The Yankee Killer". Gus had roots in 3 generations of Bell ballplayers and was a Louisvillian ( sounds cool)
