Got this 69 T Joe Shultz #254 variation today. Looking at the one on the right under a 10x loupe I can see where Topps actually covered this red/blue streak over. There is a very faint red blemish where the arrow is and it shows up better under the loupe. You can also see some distortion in the area of where the streak was covered up.

My guess is that the Revlon anti-blemish cream was not fully applied on Joe prior to distribution.

Ok. So I was going though my 1967 extras box and boy there is a lot of them….maybe set number 4? I was really putting the lid on the box for storage But anyway found 1967 topps 464 Dan coombs with white line slash above name (common Version?) and very light slash (looks like maybe a corrected version?)….and yes because of my 67 addiction I do have 6 extras

To me they all have an unprinted slash in the balck, but some have it filled in by the blue not being registered properly.

But, there's a more interesting thing.
In the second O of his name, there is or isn't a notch in the right side allowing the glove to show through,
And
The black line through the center of the O and between the O and M is or isn't heavier.

Somewhere there may be one without the slash altogether fixing that would have been very easy. It's just a matter of if they did it. That they didn't, while fixing the notch in the O makes me think it may have never been fixed.

Didn’t notice the yellow glow of the glove and some tips also his arm yellow glow too missing the black outline. So maybe print alignment ? But either way….more variations for people to chase lol ……
