Happiness is reoccurring print variations.

The 75 Strom with the eye fisheye is the second one. (no autograph on this one.).

Dennis Higgins 69 WL is for my Senators team set collections.

1969 Topps #214 Checklist: Has a large black and white blotch fisheye over Special.

Recurring? Only one that was for sale on COMC at the time. First 10 I looked at on eBay didn't have it.

I fear a sad day is upon us. Richard Dingman's Goggle site is no longer accessible. It worked yesterday evening, and today it is not there anymore.

At least I was able to scrape a fair amount of his collected data from that site before it went away.

Bummer.....

Most are familiar with the 1979 topps black border missing variations. Some have the entire top border missing, others just a partial. Here is a new one I found, at least it’s new to me. I have never seen one on this number before (#247).

Not in hand yet, but I was searching 1967 Topps on eBay for 6th Series miscuts when I came across this 67 McNally with the recurring ink explosion on the sign on the right and couldn't pass it up.

Got this 69 T Joe Shultz #254 variation today. Looking at the one on the right under a 10x loupe I can see where Topps actually covered this red/blue streak over. There is a very faint red blemish where the arrow is and it shows up better under the loupe. You can also see some distortion in the area of where the streak was covered up.

My guess is that the Revlon anti-blemish cream was not fully applied on Joe prior to distribution.

Ok. So I was going though my 1967 extras box and boy there is a lot of them….maybe set number 4? I was really putting the lid on the box for storage But anyway found 1967 topps 464 Dan coombs with white line slash above name (common Version?) and very light slash (looks like maybe a corrected version?)….and yes because of my 67 addiction I do have 6 extras

To me they all have an unprinted slash in the balck, but some have it filled in by the blue not being registered properly.

But, there's a more interesting thing.
In the second O of his name, there is or isn't a notch in the right side allowing the glove to show through,
And
The black line through the center of the O and between the O and M is or isn't heavier.

Somewhere there may be one without the slash altogether fixing that would have been very easy. It's just a matter of if they did it. That they didn't, while fixing the notch in the O makes me think it may have never been fixed.

Didn’t notice the yellow glow of the glove and some tips also his arm yellow glow too missing the black outline. So maybe print alignment ? But either way….more variations for people to chase lol ……

I’ve seen quite a few variations of that card over the years, including different color inks

Don't know if this has been listed before but there is a small wedge above the team banner on some cards.

While it is not difficult to find. it is in shorter supply than the normal version.

I have to get them when I find them. I have been looking for the 69 T Reynolds pink dot for a while now. Found one recently but it is autographed. I'll take it, another one off the 69 list.

Cheers,

I ran across this 1977 Topps Tippy Martinez missing a section of border on the back by the cartoon years ago, I haven't searched extensively but I have never found another one. ETA, looking at it more closely it’s probably just a fisheye that obstructed the border.

Two 1969's to add to this chain.

Both are Lew Krausse.
The first one looks like he has mold all over the card. It is actually printed on the card itself, looks like the blue dots like many of the 76s.

The second one has the red on the bottom left. I know the red bottom left is repeatable, I had to get a second one as the first one I ordered got lost in the mail.

The first one, only one I have seen so far.

The government lied!!! There was a third version. Ok, had to have some fun here. So as I’m working on the 1966 Topps set. I like to pick up extra RC’s, TC’s and CL from each year, I just think they’re really cool. I noticed on 1966 Topps checklist 183 a peach streak on the white boarder. I looked through countless eBay auctions and completed, I did find another version so I guess it’s not a 1/1 lol

1966 Topps 183b checklist small print

Default Show...me...your print variations!

I obtained a 5000 ct box of 1977 topps recently and had fun going through it looking for RPDs. Too many notes to list here on this thread so I’ll just share one of the things I learned (not my discovery) and let everyone know I posted a separate thread entitled “1977 Topps Notes”

It looks like all 1977 Topps Jerry Turner and Matt Alexander cards were printed that way and it was never corrected, I probably noticed it in 1977 as a ten year old but have forgotten since.

Default Blue Kinder

It was a blue Christmas for Red Sox fans after the immensely popular Ellis Kinder was sold to the Red Birds in December 1955. Topps captured the feeling across New England in a limited edition “blue Kinder” collectible in 1956.

Eric — Cardinal fans speak of that waiver wire deal with the same reverence as the Broglo for Brock deal

Is this is a confirmed reoccurring print defect?

Shane- to determine that just review the listings for Kinder for the next five years. If another one does not service in that time I think you can take it off your list

Picked this up at a show yesterday:

Untitled by Brett Blair, on Flickr

I realize it's off-centered,but do you think the print mishap would take down the grade as well if I sent it in? It's a pretty sharp card otherwise.
