I think many baseball enjoyers would love to watch tennis but have never given it a fair shot.
There's a few notable comparisons. It's very easy to follow like baseball. It takes unreal hand eye coordination like baseball. The ball is being hit very hard like baseball. Really the only place tennis fails is the team atmosphere and crowd energy. But I think if people who have never given it a shot decide to watch a match one day (especially of a great player) they will become fans.

When I saw this I had to post my rarest of rare tennis cards. I only own it for a few more days so this is more of a farewell.

it is a fun sport to watch. I used to watch with my father all the time when I was a kid. My favorites were Roscoe Tanner and Jimmy Connors.

That's cool. I had never heard of him until recently looking into the Wheaties panels in my FILs collection. Sounds like he led a long life.

If anyone is looking for relatively cheap Conner rookies, his 1976 Nabisco Tennis card can be had for under $20 raw. Most people don't know that he is featured with his doubles partner on that card. Last edited by HalfNipponese; 09-14-2022 at 05:15 PM. |

There's a 4.5 Americana Munchen Connors on ebay, but the price seems too high to me.

I think I had my eye on that one, and I forgot to bid on it. Is that her earliest card? |
