I found a counterfeit ticket to Game 6 of the 1996 World Series (October 26, 1996) lying on the street in front of Stan's Sports Bar, across the street from Yankee Stadium, as the game was being played. (I didn't have a ticket to the game and wasn't planning to attend; I just wanted to be there and soak up the post-season atmosphere and excitement.)
My guess is that the ticket was discarded by the scalper who was unable to trick someone into buying it. Or, it could have been discarded by the poor soul who purchased it only to find the ticket was a fake. The source ticket from which this was made was a ticket for Game 7. The numeral "6" has been pasted over the "7" in the "Game 6" references. (At the top of the ticket, the "EYSW7" stands for 'Event - Yankee Stadium - World Series 7.' Had this been a real Game 6 ticket, it would have said EYSW6.) ![]()

Expos fans remembers Dennis Martinez perfect game on July 28 1991, 7 years earlier on April 21st 1984 in St Louis David Palmer threw a rain shorten 5 inning perfect game.
Major League Baseball listed Palmer's performance as a perfect game until 1991, when it clarified the definition of a no-hitter to stipulate that the pitcher had to go nine or more innings to receive credit for a gem. ticket and signed stamped gateway envelope

Cool Those are beautiful as they are. Would resist any temptation to slab them.

No slabs for these tickets, will probably frame them with a nice photo of Jarry Park stadium

Just got this one back from Michaels, my run of Jarry Parks Home Openers 1969-1976 , The Photo is from the 1970 Home opener with Bob Gibson on the mound and Rusty Staub at bat (he struck out) its a little hard to see but in right centerfield you can see fans watching the game on top of snow banks and on top of the swimming pool's cabin

Continuing the Expos theme (sort of), this one is from the first game I saw at Wrigley Field.
The Expos won 10-5 Randy Hunt hit his 1st career HR, while Greg Maddux raised his career batting average to .444 while failing to get his 2nd career win. |

Here's a stub from the June 4, 2000 Mets v. Rays game at Shea Stadium.
This ticket was purchased from, and printed at, an "ETM" kiosk at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island, NY. Over the years, the ink has faded - unfortunately, as faint as the printing is in this enhanced scan (made July 18, 2012), it's significantly more legible here than it is on the actual ticket. ![]()

Not mine but thought I’d share anyway. I did some work at the Clemente Museum this last weekend. This is a new item on loan. The owner traveled to Pittsburgh as a child and attended the 9/1/71 all minority lineup game. He stood outside the stadium that day and collected almost every player’s autograph in his autograph book. The poor quality snap shot is of him getting Roberto’s autograph outside of Three Rivers.
