The first two pictured below are 100% embroidered. The top has a tag on back from Gimbels department store which was a fixture in Center City Philly for years. The second (possibly my second best) is even a tick bigger than typical oversized pennants, there are three sets of tassels, one directly in the middle of spine. Mark, yours are unreal. The second to last in your pics, that looks like it comes from the maker of the “BBC” series. Beautiful.

And I've never seen that WGN alternate version from the 1951 series (with the more realistic elephant). Have you found a Cardinals example yet?

Nope. I think I’ve seen it twice. Last time was maybe 6-7 years ago and it was beat up.

Good question. I have no idea. But it’s undeniably awesome.

I have posted this before … the back cover of a 1956 baseball instructional book for kids included most of these WGN logos. The Reds was a bit too violent for the utes so they replaced it with the Keezer Reds.
