Mile High sold what appears to be an identical box and listed it as 1950 even though the box had no 1950 identification.
http://www.milehighcardco.com/1950_b...-lot59411.aspx Also, to Eric's point, I note that the 1950 Bowman cards have the distinctive five-star logo on the reverse, unlike those from 1949. This would seem to indicate that the REA box is from 1950, but these issues are way outside of my wheelhouse. Why they would have separate boxes, one stating the year and one not, I do not know.
