Don't have this in hand yet, but will soon!

Christy at the polo grounds in 1908. With some amazing signage on the walls and in the air!

Nice idea for a thread. Here's one with faux walls and no ads.

Default Yankee Stadium

The Auxiliary Scoreboard on the Right-Centerfield wall at Yankee Stadium.

The numbers tell the story of that famous day (Oct 8, 1956) when Don Larsen pitched his Perfect game.

The picture used on the 1956 Topps Clemente shows part of the outfield wall. I remember someone said it was from when he played right field, and they posted a picture of the entire wall, but I can't find the photo.

That is a wonderful photo. I can almost imagine the scene morphing into full color and the subjects beginning to move; an effect sometimes seen in movies which take a look back in time.

1908 was one hell of a season. Christy personally witnessed an amazing pennant race.
