I was a little kid when my Mets got Mays 'back.' He was the absolute God of baseball to our beginning-collector minds, and my dad's stories of him on the Giants battling against his Dodgers, before California stole them both away, are memories that will never leave me. That's why I used that particular card for this. One of my all-time favorites.

You always come through for us. This was my laugh of the day. We all need to smile, now more so than ever. Peace and best of health.
P.S. I grew up in Cedar Grove, N.J., and was a BIG Mays fan. even wrote him a fan letter (he never responded ). He came back to NYC when I was 17 and appeared at a local store to sign autographs. My dad drove me to the store where there was a loooong line. By the time I got to the front he was only shaking hands, no autographs. I shook his hand. C'est la vie.
