I haven’t been posting my pick ups recently but last night I completed my T206 HOF Portrait set with this one. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a card. I’ll post the full portrait set when it arrives.

I'm very excited to hear this! It's the only card I'm still missing on my HOF Portrait set. Congratulations! Hoping I can nab one (likely of lesser standing) sometime soon as well.

Bill

Thanks Bill! For a while I was content to not have the Green Cobb based on cost but as I got towards the end I slowly talked myself into. Good luck in your hunt.

If you are going to spend money, this is the kind of card to spend it on.

Default Numbers 394 and 395 in the rebuilt Howe McCormick collection

After the last couple of weeks, I’m still not quite sure what to call my collection, but for now, guess I’ll continue with what I’ve called it for close to 20 years.

Crandall was an eBay pick-up early last week.

4B6E1722-EF82-4408-97D6-5EF42E970C12.jpg

EE0C0078-1A1A-47BA-B296-B9403F0D8655.jpg

Rube found his way here via Eric Jennings who found him several weeks ago.

Again, that’s to everyone on the board for the heads-ups, and most recently the offers to help with keeping the rebuild going. It has been, and continues to be greatly appreciated.

Great month everyone. So many nice cards in this thread.

Adam, you and I must be drinking the same cool-aid

Super Green Cobb Portrait. I just added one too......

It serves as an upgrade in my T206 HOF portrait subset.

I rarely buy cards anymore but this is a recent pickup and a nice addition to the pre-war Pirates collection.

Default Sporting News Supplements

Picked up these three SN Supplements over the past couple of weeks. Not high grade, but I was especially happy to get the Joe Jackson, as this is my first playing days “card” of Shoeless Joe.

Default 1916 D303 Mothers Bread Bender

I'm continually impressed by the generosity of members here not only with their time and knowledge, but the help given when one has a project going. In my case, I'm working on a Bender White Cap back run and this card is a big one for me.

Thank you Ryan, I appreciate your generosity.

And a shout out to Steve H for sharing his expertise and knowledge with me.

Nice Delong. It is fun to imagine the oversized identified player being in a Godzilla film, while the little players on the field, like the fellow headed to third base, fleeing in terror.

Thank you Ryan, I appreciate your generosity.
