Seems very possible that it’s a fake result.

I like to look at bidder history especially if an item sells for significantly more than expected. The Ruth mentioned had multiple bidders up until $1500. From $1500 to $5600 only 2 bidders going back and forth. It is possible 2 people really wanted this, but I doubt it. To me this is suspicious

2 bidders is almost always suspicious with super high sale prices. I’m all for anonymity online when it comes to how you spend your money. But ebay needs to at minimum have some kind of counter where you can maybe see how many items a person has won in a certain time frame. And tell how many items a buyer has won from that specific seller. So if you see somebody has won 50 items in the last week and you then see it was all from the same seller, that should be getting checked out. Obviously if you are say, building a set through Gm or whoever that is a different story. I think this goes for all other auction houses too, not pointing fingers there just needs to be much more clarity. I always have a small thought in the back of my head wondering if I’m bidding against somebody who wants this item or a robot/shill.
