Default 1957 Topps Piersall variation ?

Just came across this card as I was preparing lots for sale. There is clearly an “o” after his name. Any ideas would be appreciated

These 'donut' circles occur in Topps printing with great frequency into the 1990's. That's all it is.

That is pretty cool with its placement, though. If it is recurring in the same exact spot it might catch on as a quasi-variation.

This is regularly referred to as a fisheye print defect. Unless it is a recurring variation, it makes the card worth less, and will likely get a lower grade or the PD designation on a PSA slab.

I would not personally call that a variation but a really cool place for where the print defect mark is.

Variant— not variation but card that differs from it’s common counterpart. Preferably recurring. This one may be unique
