Hi Fred

Let me tell you the rest of this story......it gets even better.

There are 2 nearby Hotels in Oaks, PA. The Hampton Inn and the Hilton. Danny expected me to book us into the Hilton. However, I booked us into the Hampton.

The check-in lady (Nancy), whose husband's collection we bought worked at the Hampton. Had I booked us at the Hilton, there would NOT be a story to tell you.

You said it best, ole buddy.... "I must be a good luck charm"

Did someone write over the factory on the one to the left of Moeller Dan?
Based on other markings on the back it should be Griffith, Hummel or McQuillan.

That's extra blue ink from the printing process. Look at the word "Assorted" that has a bunch in it too. Cool Stuff!

Thanks Dan, I've seen the extra blue that's in the l and p on the one in your picture on the three players I mentioned but I hadn't seen it over the factory before that's why I asked if it was Griffith, Hummel or Mcquillan.

Sometimes, coincidences like these are the best ones. It's very funny how life works that way, Ted.

Ted,

Wish I was able to make it. Things unfortunately came up, such is life sometimes, as I'm sure you know. I'm hoping to make the one in December, assuming your there. If not I'm sure there is another show we may cross paths at! Hope you and the rest of your family has been doing well, my friend.

Great story, Ted. Thanks for sharing.

Dan, that picture of cards on the table, with those tall stacks, that reminds me of old collecting, I love it! Nary a slab in sight.

That's a feel good story for the day.

That's cool Dan, it's an alignment mark and not a true proof mark.
