Don Drysdale was on a bunch. The Flying Nun. Leave it to Beaver. The Rifleman. The Brady Bunch.

As for pre-war/television. Rube Waddell wrestled alligators in the circus.

Of course Chuck Connors was a former baseball player but he also had a buddy from the Dodgers on one episode with him!! This guy really looked like a typical "Bad Guy" western character on this show!
