Congrats Pete.

Jeff, I was wondering whether I would battle you on this Ruth.

Thrilled to have picked these two up, and I think I got them both at very reasonable prices.

Regarding the auction: (i) OK REA, I love you, but enough with the extended bidding glitches already. Figure that out once and for all, as its becoming a major detraction from what is otherwise one of the best auction events of the year. (ii) I thought prices in general were very strong. There were some bargains, but last night's results generally indicate that pre-war vintage remains strong

yep Ryan

That was the primary Ruth I wanted. Lucky for you and sad for me that my recent splurge on 6 Ruth Cards kept me grounded.

Great pick up and Congrats.

There is always a next auction and a next auction and so on

I'm a low-roller so this was my win. I was a bit shocked by how cheap it went for. I can finally add my favorite 19th century player to my collection!

It looks like I significantly overpaid for the E-90 Young but thrilled to finally pick up a version that at least looks to be well centered with strong registration. In my view one of the 5 most beautiful cards of all time and this will be my third time owning one ... hopefully the third time is the charm :-)

That Young was, in my opinion, hands down the best looking card in the auction. I am sorry to admit that I was the underbidder and likely cost you some money, and I almost went back at it again. Congratulations on grabbing a gorgeous example of a key card.

Josh, great pick-up. Not too shabby either!

Red- nice pickup. Those Scrappss are very cool

Octovia- LOL. Enjoy. I am happy to give you mind. In fact, I tried to opt out of getting a catalog and I could not figure out of I could. I would be happy if you got mine and then you would have two

I was in on the 1882 White Stockings Cabinet and the PSA 9 1961 Billy Williams, but the Williams really took off and I couldn't swing getting both. That's gotta be a record high for that card.

I won only one card, this N173 Dan Stearns. Been looking for it for many years. Was surprised it didn’t run a lot higher. (The back is totally fine.)

I agree. I own 2 and wouldn't mind another but nice ones have gone way up like everything else. That is a great example, damn the grade. Congrats

I struck out except for one small card, probably for resale.

"Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;

The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,

And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;

But there is no joy in Mudville—mighty Casey has struck out."

Congratulations to all the net54 members on their wins.

Now on to LOTG...

I was under bidder on 3 lots.

With the prices these days --- that's some sort of half-assed accomplishment ....

Some of the T206 Cobbs went cheap, I thought. PSA 4.5 Bat Off for $10,500.
Red portrait 4.5 for $9,600. There were alot of Cobb choices but some bargains in there.

Jeff, Thanks man I was hoping to get it a little less as I’ll want to reslab. It hit my top and was a nail biter to the end. I was anxious on the 20 min countdown. The color and centering for the issue I figured I better not let it pass.

This letter is an amazing piece. I went to sleep leading at 17k and expected to lose later on for sure, but was stunned to see the final price. Would love to have this.

Agreed, loved this one!

I won the 9-page 1910 Cobb letter, great insight into Cobb's personality and the "I am with you" under the signature sealed it for me.

Great piece! I was a player in the low 30’s and got crushed. Never thought it would sell for $50K all in.
