Vinnie was the best broadcaster I ever heard. Same experience with the transister radio under the pillow on summer nights. My most vivid memories of Vinnie's broadcasts will always include Don Drysdale's amazing 58 2/3 scoreless innings streak in 1968 and the unexpected 1988 season that led to a Dodger World Series victory. Vin Scully was smooth beyond compare and a gift to all baseball fans. RIP Vinnie!
