You Yankees fans should try collecting Royals instead. Much easier, and there's a card for every Royals player and even manager--though of course some are only in different uniforms.

A little harder is a card of every major league player, period. I have that going back to late 1977, when I started following baseball.

I showed this to my friend in a new toploader and found that the ink marks were on the old one and not the card. Happy!

I have a collecting focus that is somewhat similar to what the OP is asking for. I collect contemporary cards of all the players who played on the 1924 Washington Senators WS Championship team. I include cards of these players when they played on other teams before and/or after they played for the Senators. Of course, many cards exist of the key players on this team, but some of the lesser players have only a few cards issued, and a few players have no cards issued that I am aware of. I believe Leon would prefer for each post to have a dozen pics, so here some cards of the lesser-known players:
