Tim, I have had a set of cards for years that measure roughly 4" x 5" I haven't been able to identify but I see one listed on your page as 1947 Maxwell Hardware Oakland Oaks. Where did you come across the manufacturer information?
Mine have a stamped name (looks factory) of the subject on back in black or red. Very cool to possibly put a name to a set. Just as a bit of information I have 20 different cards with the names on back and 2 cards that look to have been distributed with them showing the outfield wall and image of the field (game in progress) that have no stamp on back but were found together. So potentially a 20 or 22 card set? Also they probably date to 1948 (or 1949) based on the players I have

Nice work!
As an oddball lover, I see quite a few of my favorites in there. I find it very interesting that many of these series continue to be so inexpensive to collect and yet so darn hard to find.
