So the biggest question I have is about this Ty Cobb. I could have sworn when I looked into pricing 6 years ago this was worth around $500-1000 in this condition. Does this sound right? I am seeing some pretty beat up green Ty Cobbs for $5,000+.

My second question is, would it be worth it to get all of these graded and sealed? How much would something like that cost? Any grader recommendations?

Are you looking to sell or keep? If keep, I wouldn't bother with grading. Yes, green Cobbs have gone up in pricing.

I haven't decided yet. Do you foresee the value to keep rising? Have other T206 cards gone up in value?

You have some great cards that all increased in price except maybe Tris Speaker. But there is a collector on Net54 who buys cut cards like that. But Brown, Mathewson, Chase, Cobb, Young.... wow. I would submit for grades all of those. The others maybe not unless you have some rare factory locations.

I’m not at all surprised; the collective memory of this group is outstanding. To most of us, six years isn’t really that long.

One, last thing, checking eBay, I am seeing that the price of my Ty Cobb has skyrocketed since I found these six years ago. Is there any reason for this?

I also just noticed that the back of my card has a "Star Gas Company" stamp and what looks like two stickers. Does this hurt the value of the card? I cannot seem to find any info online about this. Thanks.

Well, and the comments on the imgur page are from 2016, which makes checking the archives at least logical. =)

Technically yes, though there are some collectors (myself included) who have a fondness for back stamps. Stickers, not so much. But in a purely technical sense, yes, a stamp or sticker generally reduces the value of a card.

With this card, I'm not sure it matters a ton. It will get reasonable money for an "Authentic" grade.

Speaking of stamps, I don't have any in my collection with the name that's stamped on several of yours. I'd love to pick one up if the time comes that you start piecing out the collection.

I too am curious what the name is on that backstamp. And since this thread is lacking in cards I'll throw one up, shown before but I love backstamps.
