Yeah, no shit! You hit that one dead on. Even with the escalation in prices, $3M would still build a nice collection. If you weren't going for primo grade stuff, you could have a lot of nice cardboard (oh yeah, with all the plastic that goes around it these days).

We should be talking about the Ruth rookie that sold for half a mil in that ridiculous PSA case where it can just float around like a duck on a pond. PSA slabs like that are a total joke and they should be embarrassed.

Amazing card, just not holdered in that fashion

Who were the bidders? Who was the winner? Is the winner in any way connected to the seller? Are the winner and seller in any way connected to the auction house?

This looks like a scam to inflate values.
