I can't imagine a baseball-themed man cave without a few Topps display boxes. I've added a bunch of them to my display. I've picked most of them up on eBay, although it's pretty slim pickings these days.
I agree that the 1965 box looks great. If you're just getting started, I'd go for the 1968 with Mantle and Freehan, and the 1969 with Rose, Mays, etc. They're fairly easy to find and not too expensive. Also, if you find a top that's separated from its bottom, buy it. It's way easier to find a bottom to match it later. That's how I've acquired several of my boxes. |
