In my bailiwick, boxing, I see good potential in items that are not well-researched or understood at the present time. Things like appearance cards or bout-related cards. These were made for a single event, and they just did not survive in quantity. A few examples:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I also think there is room in top quality photos of major subjects. ![]() Joe Louis, June 21, 1935, age 21. An iconic image of him. Same photo shoot produced this M120 Detroit Free Press premium. ![]() Even Ali hasn't hit his full potential.

Games used ABC helmets (pre-1990) are good investments mainly because they are very rare and sell quickly. Here is a photo of my collection. I'm not selling...just buying, so if you have any you want to sell, please pm me!
Some of these are "team issued," so they were provided to the team but never used in a game. But at least half of these are game used. Last edited by gregndodgers; 04-29-2025 at 11:15 AM. |

I will post more pics...These are very tough to find!
That Cardinals helmet is a gamer from Ted Simmons. Came from a charity auction. He provided his helmet and other stuff to help raise funds. Last edited by gregndodgers; 04-29-2025 at 11:10 AM. |

In many cases, the team logo on helmets from the 1960s was painted on!

Pennants. I might be slightly biased.

Great stick Jonathan!!! Is it dated? I have only seen sticks with an abbreviated team name on the butt end... i was told no team inscription=not a gamer...
I think hockey has some solid potential... so much faster than it used to be, and a ton exciting young players... Quote:
