Scott, what specifically do you base your comment on?
Again, I'm not saying everything, and you are correct in surmising that I am basing this largely on my own experience, but there are a group of us who talk and I know several auction companies that have been inundated with stuff. We are turning away more than ever (OK our first couple years I don't know if we turned away ANYTHING lol) We would absolutely have room for top notch items, but if you're coming to me with a bunch of 1970's sets in EX, or 1950's HOF in PSA mid grades, you're probably going to have to get in line.

I have seen enough 1971 Topps sets for 15 lifetimes.

I think the better auctions will have the same great stuff they always do. I think realizations on top grade scarce material, not the shiny stuff, will remain strong and maybe set new records. The prices in REAs current smaller auction look just fine to me. The shiny stuff will suffer though I believe.

Default Consigned with Mile High

I recently gave Brian from MH three terrific PSA graded sets. They will be in their catalog auction come Natl time. His deadline was pretty much towards the end of May. Without question, most of the big AHs will take stuff for their larger Fall catalog auctions. Unsure of that exact cutoff date, but it is still not even summer yet.

My sets at MH:

#2 1934-36 Diamond Stars (7.63)
#4 1955 Topps All-American FB (8.92)
#30 1955 Topps baseball (almost 7.50)

Any auction house would take those items and get them in whatever auction you wanted. I don't think that's contrary to my point at all. Amazing stuff, good luck!

I wonder if the big Auction Houses are still taking Bitcoin as a form of payment ?

I remember last year when they SGC Wagner Sold it was an Option.

PWCC still has that option and more, might be a good way to unload some BTC, falling knife and all...
