First card was the 1929 Zeenut but first MLB card was that one.

That is an awesome card. You do not see cancelled R328 US Caramels very often.

Were these issued over multiple years? Grove was born in March of 1900, and his card mentions that he was 33, so I assume that it was produced sometime after March 6 of 1900.

Many of the cards make reference to career numbers of a player that includes their 1932 seasons. For example, Gomez's card states that he had pitched in 92 games, winning 47 and losing 21, which corresponds with his career stats after the 1932 season.

Other players’ cards make reference to winning the 1932 MVP or playing in the 1932 World Series. So, I guess that the cards could have been made at the very end of the year, but that would be very unusual timing for a set and dies not explain the discrepancies in the listed ages of some of the players.

I thought that I remember reading a thread about the dating of this issue, but I cannot seem to find it.
