Net54 qualifies as a social media site. Beyond card discussions, there has been a thread where people showed photos of their dogs and there is a watercooler section where people talk about all sorts of topics.
An interesting aspect for me about Facebook is I have Russian and Ukrainian friends and colleagues in Russia and Ukraine who post about their personal experiences in the current war. One is in the besieged city of Kherson with her family, and another is a Ukrainian who was living in Moscow and fled to France. Facebook is what you make of it.
