I just wanted to chime in and say that this is one of the most interesting threads I've read and I've been here from the start -- when we "migrated" from the "Full Count Board" way back when.

I also want to be among those thanking Roland for sharing his collection, knowledge, and passions for these wonderful and still mysterious cards. I have only a few and are among the prizes in my collection. I hope to add to that small group.

I think the first I heard about the Cuban issues was in an article in the Vintage Collector magazine, which was a high quality actual paper magazine back in the 1990s. Since then this board and some of members have been the best sources for learning about these issues.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this is the kind of thread that realizes the potential of this board and I'm just thankful for that.:

Jason, I have been lucky enough to get them for a good price in good condition, now in photos you will see some, I show a photo of the books with dedication and signed by Diez Muro, one of them is from the regular edition and the other from the deluxe one, look at the difference in the paper, one is yellowish and the other looks white because it is made of good quality paper, the photos look better, see Ruben Foster and other in Havana Team.

"Base Ball in Cuba and America" 1908, a great book with many facts about Cuban and American baseball, is a rare and hard to find book.

The baseball narrators in the cards, in 1952-53 the Victoria Collections album, printed a collection of cards with the players and also narrators, in the group that I show appear among others Rafael (Felo) Ramirez and Buck Canel, belonging to the Hall of Cooperstown Fame.

.

Really interesting. I know another narrator HOFer: Cuco Conde is in the boxing hall of fame.
