That was Craig "Hit 'Em from Behind" McTavish (1997), actually, but along with being one of the greatest forwards of his era, Lafleur did indeed have the best hair in NHL history.

RIP to another childhood legend. Sigh.
 I remember when he came back with the Nordiques. I was living in LA at the time and made a trip to a Kings game just to see him streaking down the side again with no helmet. Quite a thrill.

I remember watching him play my CA Seals back in the day as a little kid. I read later that Sam Pollack the lengndary GM of the Les Habs made a trade with the Seals in 1970 sending Ernie Hicke and their 1970 1st round pick for the Seals pick the following year with eye towards getting Guy Lafleur knowing that they would probably suck...lol. He was right.
