I think $8-10k would be reasonable. If it was mine I would probably price it around $13k and see what offers people make. Wagner is still super popular. and you might be surprised You can always drop the price, but it is hard to raise it.
As far as general pricing of more thinly sold items, I always look at the card in slightly different grades and also similar players in the same grade or even the same player/grade in similar sets. You might not get an exact comparisons, but usually you can get a pretty good idea.

Here's the Wagner front (the back is equally sharp/clear, with the same tape staining). Unfortunatley I don't have a scan of the back (or other cards).

Awesome card! Tape stain will drop it below comps for most 2s, so I'd probably lower my 12k guess from above, but it's still a great card that will do well at auction.

The only SGC 2 that has been recorded as sold in the last year according to VCP was 9 months ago in an SCP auction for roughly $4500. And, it was your card now that you have posted a picture of it.
I doubt very seriously if the market is double that for this card now. Having said that, a major auction house will be the best way to get today's market value. I think $10K is a big reach but who knows. It only takes 2 who really want a card to create a bidding war. Last edited by rand1com; 04-07-2022 at 08:28 AM. Reason: Add content |
