Are you sure about that? Next, you’re going to tell me some of them wear half-shirts and run fraudulent box breaks…

Those aren't half-shirts. That's a sports bra to keep from jiggling too much from the excitement of a big hit. Half-shirts was that mistake we wore back in the mid 80s.

When cards are “hot” (junk wax era, now) I think the “quick buck” crowd jump in. When things are “normal”, they’re off chasing “easy money” somewhere else.

There are also the sales tax scofflaws who complain to me that eBay collects sales tax. I don't have any control over that, so contacting me is a waste of time. eBay needs to revise its rules to say:

"If you are fortunate enough to be able to afford expensive toys, just pay your taxes and stop being a whiny little bitch about it."

Are you saying that people who buy from you write you to complain that ebay collects sales tax?

That's just bizarre.

I've had a few complaints, one specifically from a guy in TN. Said he had to pay nearly 10% on online purchases now. I just think that after decades of not 'having' to pay, it's a bit of a shock to the system.

BTW, it was a pleasant message, explaining his offer. Unfortunately, I couldn't convey a way to contact off feebay.

Happened to me more than once. People think I am in control of the tax system. I wish. If I had control over it you better believe that things would be taxed very differently. But that is a topic for a different board.
