Bobby would we be looking at a yearish turn around most likely at the $50 level?

Thanks.

Don't want to spend the money, but I have this real nice (to me, so it'll probably come back a PSA 2 MK/ST/PD/OC/AA/N6 combo) Bench rookie, plus a 1968 Mays PSA 8 ST that I'd like to crack open, wipe away the schmutz and resubmit, so I may be in for the sub if you decide to do it.

Darren...does that Bench make sense to submit at $50??? The cards I am looking to sub better be close to that $999 limit.

That's the big question, isn't it?
Based on recent sales data, it would have to come back a minimum of a 6 (which it damn well should, but I am probably 100% wrong) to be 'worth' it at a base level (money I paid for it + $50 + shipping and insurance to and fro), but since I'm not looking to sell it, that may just be money thrown to the winds. If it was a mere $10 special, then it would be an unequivocal yes (and the shipping and insurance cost would be eased by the large number of cards I would submit).

***OPINIONS WANTED...EVEN POINTLESS, NOT WELL THOUGHT OUT ONES***

I have three slots for Bobby's submission. One 'should' be taken up by cracking out my PSA 8 ST 1968 Willie Mays and wiping away the schmutz, so that leaves two slots to fill. As a little insight, I'm not planning on selling anything, but it really is all about value, because the way this last year has went, I am never more than 5 minutes away from having to sell everything.

Here are my candidates:

1956 'Hammerin' Hank' - WYSIWYG. Overall pretty decent, but the corners are bumpity.

1972 'Dr. J.' Rookie - Crap! Knew the top left corner was bumped, but just realized the lower left corner has a light crease...so it's low grade. Ugh!!

1980 'The Great One' - really sweet overall, but is the top to bottom centering a killjoy??

1968 Johnny Bench Rookie - it looks awesome, but man, when you examine the scans, things pop up. A real tough call.

Two 1971 Munsons, One Plate - either fits nicely into anyone's complete set, but would one of them grade high enough to make the $50 to PSA a good move?

Edited to add:
