This may have been mentioned before, but Re: the Hindu ads, I think the graphic designer at the time just took some liberties to make the players' names visible since the artwork had cards stacked on top of each other...not that they were considering actually doing the names at the top.
BTW, some cool cards...I used to own several drastic examples, back in the day. |

Maybe it’s the angle but that Mullin looks very wide as well. That’s a cool one
