Default Facebook Marketplace Pricing For Local Pickup

I have a question about pricing and selling a small lot of vintage cards through Facebook Marketplace — using the local pickup option.

Assuming that the lot is reasonably priced, should I (the seller) allow a buyer’s request for an additional 13 percent off because I’m avoiding eBay fees on the sale? Or, should I counter with the fact that, with a local pickup arrangement, the buyer is avoiding shipping fees?

I realize that the whole ‘marketplace’ concept allows for negotiation - but I’m wondering how, in general, others handle pricing in a ‘local pickup’ scenario. Thanks

I will usually give around 10% off ebay prices. The buyer asking for all the savings is too much, why not split the fees if possible?

It is totally up to you on any discount, especially if you feel it's already been discounted appropriately. Same as if someone 'makes an offer' on eBay.

But no, you aren't breaking any unwritten code to further discount because it is FB local pickup.

Just price it fairly, ebay fees are none of their business. You get tons of lowballers on FB...Also being in a good group helps...

If you're asking the question, then the assumption is you're kind of okay with the 13% discount request, is that correct? If so, I would counter by saying you'll take 5 or 7% (or whatever percentage works for you) off of your price. That, plus no shipping cost (although that's negligible with the way gas prices are), would make most people feel like they got a good deal, especially since the lot is priced fairly to begin with.
