Picked up a few cards in an auction, including this 1939 Play Ball of Lefty Gomez. The card has some white shmootz on the front of it. Anyone have a guess what that could be or how to clean it off?

Default 1911 T3 Turkey Red Addie Joss

I am thrilled to finally add a 1911 T3 Turkey Red to my Cleveland Baseball Type Card Collection! None other than HOF pitcher Addie Joss! The card presents well with no creases, and only reasonable corner wear, a surface blemish front and back, a bit of "checklisting" on the back, and an obvious yet well-centered pinhole. The pinhole is probably distracting to many folks, but I consider myself lucky to have found this card in otherwise great condition and made affordable due to that pinhole. I imagine some kid tacking it to his wall in 1911, or maybe a tobacco store made a grand baseball display with a bunch of T3s - either way it gives me great joy to contemplate its journey to my collection!

Patrick- congratulations on the Shields, a very tough card. When I finished up Series 1 of my T210s, it was the last one I found and it took a long time to find one.
Best,
tbob

I haven't been able to identify what this issue is (any input is appreciated).
This is a post card size issue.
Back reads 1941 Brooklyn

Jeff, your V61-1 of Ruth is a real beauty. I've seen lots of 4s that don't look this nice.

Nice pickup, Jeff! The Type I's are really fragile, so it's difficult to get this card in this nice a condition that you have.

Thanks Phil (love that Keeler), Val, Jay, Ryan, Josh(sadly or happily I am glad I talked faster than you), and Gary. Always like the pose and I really do like the eye appeal on this one.

Another Great month for our Forum members. With 1 week to go I look forward to see the other great pickups of everyone
