While that may be true in theory, in practice very few bidders pay attention to the BP during the heat of bidding. Human nature.

I always keep 20% plus 8% (tax) in mind. I think most people think about the BP when bidding. Sounds like a poll might be needed .

And for some of us guppies, shipping fees!

Years ago I got burned by not reading shipping terms that clearly stated (when they pointed it out) a flat FV-based PER LOT fee.

Made my bargains about 18% less bargainy.

Thanks all for the positive feedback! It is very much appreciated. I try to run Sterling the way I want to be treated as a buyer/seller, which I was for many years prior to buying Sterling. I am always available if you would like to call and discuss any aspect of buying or selling with Sterling.

A big benefit of consigning with that the bigger site can not offer at this time:

Buyers do not have to pay sales tax at this time in any state but Minnesota.

Which should translate to more money for the consignor!

Always a collector that is happy to have a job in a hobby he loves!

Thanks for your reply Lee and congrats on the good reputation, something evidently well earned. I look forward to following your auctions more closely. Best, Joe
