It's a nice feeling. Please take this suggestion- don't start upgrading. I've probably have replaced around 145 of the 160 cards that I've purchased. I would have upgraded the Mantle, Musial, and Reese (all vg/ex), except I couldn't convince the wife into letting me spend that money from the savings.

What's your next set to conquer?

Thanks guys. The whole set is raw with one exception. My Mantle is still graded a 3.5 which matches the rest of the set.
It only took me about 14 months since I decided to complete it but there is a caveat. I already owned the Reese, Musial and Mantle for a number of years. My brother-in-law had been working on the set for a number of years very slowly but went through some financial difficulties during covid and was forced to sell off the big cards from the set. After things started turning around for him and my sister he lost the heart to complete it and moved onto to a new hobby my nephew enjoyed more than cards.
He sold me his commons for a great price and I started back towards completion. At the time in obtained his commons I had a total of 97 out of the 160 cards in these set. I have to say that this is the only set I’ve completed where I spent much less in total than it can be sold for completely now.
Anyway I don’t think I’m going to attempt another set. In fact I’ve come to the point where I think I’m going to take a new journey in collecting. I think I’m going to whittle my entire collection down to just 100 cards with the exceptions of sets I’ve complete and player collections.
I might start a new thread in the right section explaining it all if anyone is interested.
Anyway, glad this one is done as it’s such a beautiful set.

Thanks again for the congratulations and all who helped,
Drew

Congratulations on a fantastic set. I built my set with a lot of help from members of this forum. Now you will want the complementary B/W set, and just to top it totally off, the easily obtainable "BBBBGTM" set of stars missing from the B/W set.
