Don't care for the slab company but love the card. Been a while since I posted a vintage pickup.

Default Fun Oddity

Fun little oddity I just got back from SGC. An E91 Al Bridwell with an upside down back and the wrong back too. The back is intended for an E91-C card and the Giants weren’t in that set.

That's really cool, Jeff. I love the "fly on the wall" perspective; in this case, at the printer; putting aside for the moment that backs of the sheet were run upside down; that was supposed to be Heinie Wagner of the Red Sox.
"New York" on chest, changed to "Boston", by the art dept.
Name plate and "New York, N.L." changed to Name plate and "Boston, A.L.", by the type set dept. Both were shortstops for their respective teams.

So, were they training an apprentice(s) or maybe came back from a liquid lunch, lol.
.... or at least; "do a Test Sheet for the new back configuration", ... Whoops!
One thing for certain, the American Caramels were going on the cheap with the 'C' set; re-using the artwork from actual player facial likenesses from the A/B sets.

So cool Jeff. Thank you for sharing. I find the E91 set fascinating.

From the BST, I know Bescher is the common one but I've always liked the Tango's and their odd history. Never bought one since I usually do full sets and this set is... basically impossible.

Nice pickup; I was eyeballing that one myself.
