I prefer the SF version with the batter. Wish I had that one in red!

Did any one pick up any of the pennants in the sale of Bob Feller's family?
This was a very cool variant with a fish tail tip. I was an underbidder on it.

Great pennant!
But I wonder if the “fishtail” wasn’t a repair of a bad tip?

Yep... no way that's original to the pennant.

This one with the flags … I have a fishtail version that may have been sold after ‘54, the whole date is chopped off. It was a throw in with another pennant. It looks better with the different color flags, I have it in better condition but with all white flags. Last edited by thetahat; 01-24-2022 at 04:03 PM. |

Trench made at least seven dated 1954 Indians pennants that describe them as AL Champs …

I'm sure this one has been discussed previously though I don't recall. This has to be one of the earliest "Officially Licensed" pennants out there.

I don't recall "Officially Licensed" on any other pennants. Long Tassels. 3/4 or full size?

3/4. The brown version seems to be a little more common and has a more sophisticated trademark with an abbreviated "Off. Lic." and also mentioning Amco, NY. The trademark on this one is a little more elementary which I'm theorizing makes it earlier.
