October 1998.
And shortly after bought a Ted Williams Florida forgery! Chalked it up to "tuition" to learn the hobby. Some of my favorite Type 1 photos I've found on ebay.

June 4, 1998
Since June 4, 1998. I wonder how many of us did ebay business with each other in the 90s. I didn't have much pre-war then (wish I still had that yellow Goudey Ruth I sold though). I was mostly a 50's & 60's era collector.
