They try to book signings in house when possible, but usually the players refuse, so they resort to scout's honor (or an auto-pen, sibling, friend, etc.).

I didn't watch the video, but someone told me that Panini represents they witnessed the signings in person, is this so? I remember Upper Deck autos used to have that language.

When you're getting paid all that money, who has time to be honorable? An outrage.

Out of curiosity, which card would you prefer as a collector?

A) A panini sticker auto card
B) A panini sticker auto card where the original sticker auto was wiped off, and then resigned on-card by the athlete

Everyone prefers an on-card auto to a sticker auto for obvious reasons. But is an on-card wiped and re-signed auto still preferable, or would that rank below a sticker auto for you?

I would personally value B more than A for a card in my collection. Knowing the athlete actually signed the card matters more to me than whether or not the previous signature was wiped off (assuming they used something like rubbing alcohol as opposed to sandpaper or a grinder).
