If I'm understanding your question correctly, you are implying that the various T206 cards were produced at the various Factories.

Most of these Tobacco cards were printed in New York City at the American Lithographic Co. And, then shipped by rail to the various Tobacco plants throughout the country.

I'm sorry if I have misunderstood. Please try me again.

I’ll keep it to S.C. 350-460. As far as I know they were produced with backs showing factory 25, factory 30, and factory 42 (both with and without scroll). That would mean it’s possible to find four different S.C. 350-460 backs. If, for example, Red Murray can be found with a SC 350-460 factory 25 back, does that mean I can always find him with the S.C. Factory 30 and both factory 42 backs as well? Or do some players only have the factory 42 backs but not the 30 and/or 25s? I hope this makes sense

The simple answer to your question is no it varies from player to player but using your Murray (portrait) as an example he can be found with a SC 350-460 factory 25, 30, and 42 overprint but not with a factory 42 no overprint.

When I look to see what backs are available for a particular card I use this list https://t206resource.com/WhiteBordersMaster.html. I'm not sure how up to date it is but it is a good place to start.

You can find all the checklists here

https://www.t206resource.com/Checklist%20Main.html

You can also type in a particular player in the searchable database and get the back info on that player

Here's the Murray portrait info

It depends which series the T206 subject is in. Murray (portrait) is in the 460-only Series. Another T206 subject in the 350/460 Series will differ (as my illustrated info in Post #3 indicates).

The backs are a complex situation which varies as a function of the Series (150, 150/350, 350-only, 350/460, and 460-only). I have covered these situations in.... T206 Reference
