Usually 2 "John's don't make a right"........except in this game!

John Hanssen (Nebboy) was the first winner with SGC 1.5
John Perez (Aloondilana) was the second winner with SGC 1.5

Some others were right on but a little late! Congrats! Please PM me if you won and send me your address! Thanks!

Eric,

Just called their customer service hot line and although anything is possible, it appears they do not grade anything that is green. I asked them to clarify and they said they had some issues when they graded the "Grinch" Rookie Comic book and a small batch of previously undiscovered "Fried Green Tomatoes" hence their reluctance to the "Verte" color scheme! I guess the tomatoes made a mess in the CGC holder when sealed!

Peace, Mike

Nice work cracking it out and resending!

It seems like that is the way to go if you can take a qualified PSA slab (miscut, mark, etc) and get it slabbed by SGC. Even if they hadn't upped it from a 1(miscut) to 1.5, you still might have just gotten a straight 1 back, which may carry more value than a 1 with qualifier from PSA.

Great eye to see its true inner beauty lurking behind that 1(MC) facade!!

If I had not seen your name attached to this post, I could have sworn I wrote it! PERFECT! So true about the "facade".

Basically they are trying to tell advanced collectors that not only is your slabbed card just a 1 but on top of that, it is miscut.......when our eyes can clearly make the determination if a card is REALLY miscut or if some grader THINKS it is miscut. lol

Well said Charles!

Peace, Mike

PS The incredible image of Mr. Doby appears to be a bit miscut as his cap is almost touching the top border of the pic! lol GREAT pic btw! Incredible smile on him! Love it!

Thanks for the compliment on the Doby pic. You must be grinning ear to ear too after your re-slabbing in the new tuxedo. Again, well done sir.

Default SGC uploaded pics a bit late but here they are!

Pretty nice 1.5 i'd say!

Thanks for all the guesses and the comments and these pics are from SGC and I could not make them any bigger! On my pic and on Ebay when I bought it as a PSA 1 (MC), the green looked faded but it is bright just like the pics below! The back is super clean also! Buy the card......... not the holder!
