Default Three of my rarest cards......

I acquired this unique gem in Cooperstown, NY in 1991. It is a significant piece of Baseball History, for there was no Major League WORLD SERIES played in 1904.
Mgr. John McGraw of the NY Giants (NL Champs) refused to play Boston (AL Champs). Therefore, the Eastern League (AAA) Buffalo Bisons became the de facto....
"1904 World Champions"

Speaking about McGraw......the only known McGraw (glove) card with a UZIT back.

Fall of 1952, BOWMAN issued this very artistic 144-card FB set. In order to compete with the very popular larger size 1952 Topps BB cards, Bowman re-sized
their regular set of FB cards. Then re-issued these larger size cards circa Winter of '52. I acquired this sheet in 1982, at a Hobby shop in Media, Pennsylvania

This unique sheet includes FB stars.....Sammy Baugh, Otto Graham, Y. A. Tittle, Charlie Justice, Charley Trippi, Hugh McElhenny, and Frank Gifford (rookie card).

Thanks. Mile High has a Doyle coming to auction soon, so there is a rare chance for someone to get to 524.

Nice ones, gang.

This Buchner-looking card was unknown-unknown until discovered in an old scrapbook by a board member. Welch was not known to be included in the n284 Buchner series until this card surfaced. Without an advertising back, one can't call this an "n284", maybe a poster cut for a card that never was, maybe a "chase" card, ha-ha. Anyway, I keep it with the other n284's.

Cool pieces, Ted.

I own this championship medal given to John McGraw for the 1904 season, declaring the Giants the champions for 1905 (issued in Oct of 1904, making then “champions” for the next season until a new champ is declared)

Default Menagerie back

Looks like this was from the same sheet as Rhotchkiss Menagerie Wagner
The upside down miss cut back and the wide bottom
Thoughts?

If so how cool is that

Bob, I do think all the Menageries are from the same sheet. Here are the two I own for comparison. If you ever feel like getting rid of the McGraw, I would be interested in it.

I used to have the color separation proofs for the 1975 Hostess George Brett (rookie year) card that was wasn't issued. Can't get rarer than a card that never existed.

Pretty much all T5s are rare. Based on the various population reports, this is the rarer Eddie Collins pose (although I assume there are some ungraded examples out there).

Brian, what are those Meusels? They look like W590s, but I have never seen a card numbered as high as 140 in that set.
