In an interview approximately one month ago, Nat Turner stated that returning to pre-COVID pricing levels is the ultimate goal. However, who knows when this will occur.

He also apparently stated that Pokémon and new basketball cards were the reason behind the huge backlog. I’m optimistic that we will return to somewhat reasonable prices one day. Until then, I will continue accumulating raw cards and wait.

So, if they triple the cost to grade Pokemon and new basketball cards, will everything else return to pre-pandemic prices?

...

Even through rose-colored glasses, I don't see that happening.

If this is true, one would expect the market for these cards to crater as hundreds of thousands of them come back graded from PSA and are put up for sale. Curious, does anyone know if that is happening or has already happened?

Pokémon is WAY down off it's peak.
