Default they made a splash, the wrong way

After all this time, opening up regular submissions at $100 is laughable. Especially with pomp and circumstance around how they have improved their systems and have expanded their capacity. Meanwhile, most of us are sitting on orders that have been in for over a year. I won't be submitting anything until bulk/value come back, even then, my submissions will look very different than the past. At $8, the low grade cards that I buy would be encapsulated, that is actually how I stumbled in to most of the sets that I have put together, but now, when the cost of grading exceeds the value of the card, it just doesn't make sense anymore.

$100 per card is simply too much. I am sitting on two long boxes or raw. And this isn't shiny stuff. Think 1960 Topps Sandy Koufax's and 1948 Leaf Honus Wagners. And the way it sounds, even if I AM allowed to sub those again at around $10 per card, then I have to wait to receive an invite to even do so, and then I will probably be limited on the quantity I can submit.

I personally couldn't care less because it is just a hobby and I avoid their crap because I can buy the same card ungraded for pennies on the dollar.

Very Smart Move By PSA. I'm hopeful a lot of net54 members will get invited.

Let's face it folks, there is a lot of new money in this industry $100 a card is peanuts newer investor guys with money. I think they're doing quite well at the $150 Level this new $100 I expect even better. Just because you wont submit at $100 a card doesn't mean thousands of others wont.

The $100 per card level will limit the flood of 90 Fleer basketball and other nonsense to keep them from backing up.

Even with the opened up $100 level, you have to receive an invite to even submit at that level. I received no invite. I know of no one that has. That is why I started this discussion.

Couldn't agree more with the bold part. Why would they offer cheaper grading when people will line up to pay $100 for the exact same job they do for the $10 submissions. You won't see cheap grading again until people stop submitting insane amounts of cards at the higher price level.

They're already significantly backed up. People have had stuff there for over a year.

+1 If I want my cards entombed in plastic I put them in in sandwich bags and microwave for 60 seconds
