Congrats on the 72 set. I like the way all of the binders are lined up. Very nice.

I managed to win this card in last nights The Collector's Connection auction.

It was the final card I needed to finish my 1968 set. I started working '68 about 4 years ago. Two years ago, I needed 6 to finish the set and added 4 over the course of the subsequent year. So, for the last year, I have needed two to finish. I managed to win the Lou Brock a few weeks back with Greg Morris, leaving just the Ryan RC. I've really struggled with Ryan because $300-$400 is the upper end of what I can afford and this card consistently sold for more than that. Obviously, the card has some serious fading on the left hand side, but that doesn't bother me since the condition otherwise is right where I would want it.

Now, on to 1960, where I only need 2 to finish, and 1965, where I am 21 cards short of the full set.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Default (re)completed 1957 set!

I had a complete '57 set until I sold a PSA 4 Ted WIlliams to a Net 54 member back in April. Figured I'd upgrade quickly, but it's taken until now to find a card I liked.

Lesson I keep having to learn while upgrading - don't sell the card I have until the replacement is in hand

Anyhow, here's the new Williams along with a few of my favorites from the set.

So my son and I walk into one of the local card shops to look at a few cards that my son was interested. The owner had just purchased a collection. My son picks out a few from the ones set aside for him, and as we are getting ready to leave one of the guys pulls out a large box of cards that he says he needs to go through for pricing. They are more cards from the recently purchased collection. We ask if we can take a look. My son takes a hand full of cards out of the box. The first card he sees is 1961 Ernie Banks all-star card. Woo hoo I'm now down to needing 1 card to finish my 61 Topps baseball set.
It was the only 1961 Topps baseball cards in the collection purchased!

Default 1966 topps

It's been a 50+ yr. journey, some years being more assertive than others when I started putting together my '66 Topps set. After a little luck and kindness shown on net54 I'm down to now needing just 30 cards, all but one being a high # card.

Still searching and enjoying the process. Currently looking.

Thanks, Jeff. I’m running out of room. Not a bad problem to have I guess.
